SyncSim is a general simulator for synchronous circuits that has been developed at
Luleå University of Technology as a project in
SMD153. It was mainly developed to
replace
SOLL, the MIPS emulator that for the moment is used in the computer
organization and logic design course at the university. SyncSim is, unlike SOLL,
a general simulator with a user friendly GUI and is not hard coded to emulate a
specific CPU.
We have also implemented a subset of MIPS, which is fully capable of running simple
c programs. This implementation is a good starting point for those interested in
developing a complete MIPS model.
